Hello Everyone! Today I would like to share with you an article I came across written by Dr. Jeannette Graf, who is a dermatologist in New York. She wrote about how it is important to find the perfect balance of skin-care, keeping in mind that an overly rigorous routine can be just as damaging as a dallying approach to the health of your skin. Dr. Jeannette Graf lists 6 of the most common skin-care mistakes women make on a daily basis, and provides a solution that benefits every skin type. First on Dr. Graf's list is the notorious act of "Not washing your face before bed"- Everyone has had moments where exhaustion overshadows the health of their skin, however Dr. Graf advises to keep makeup remover wipes at your bedside, so taking off your makeup or other skin-care products is doable even when you are too tired to move from your bed. Dr. Graf explains that when women keep their makeup or other skin-care products on it hinders the vital renewal process your skin undegoes while you are sleeping. The second common mistake woman make is "Not washing your face in the morning"- Dr.Graf states that even though you may have washed your face at night, your skin still needs to be washed after the standard 8 hours of sleep. This is because during the renewal process your skin emits various toxins and metabolic products that need to be washed away. Another mistake people make is "Using a deodorant soap on your face"- Dr. Graf explains that when you use a deodorant soap you cause your skin's delicate lipid barrier to be disrupted, resulting in dry irritated skin. Although pleasant scents are tempting, when it comes to facial soap you should stick with unscented all natural soaps. The fourth mistake many people make is "Overwashing your face"- This act proves the theory that too much of a good thing, is a bad thing. Although exfoliating and scrubbing away dead skin cells and other toxins may feel invigorating, overly washing your face can start to take away necessary elements your skin needs to nourish and repair itself. The fifth common mistake is " Choosing a cleanser that's wrong for your skin type"- Those with oily, acne-prone skin who use cleansers meant for people will dry skin will not take away as much oil or other toxins that their skin requires, and vice-versa. Those with dry skin who use cleansers meant for people with oily skin will take away too much oil off their skin and wind up with overly dry skin. The final common mistake Dr. Graf discusses is " Not taking your makeup off before a workout"- Dr. Graf states that by you not removing your makeup before a workout, sweat gets trapped under your makeup and is liable to cause breakouts. Since the sweat does not release itself from your skin it combines with your makeup, teaming up to create an evil couple that clogs your pores. Overall, if you stop making these unhealthy skin mistakes, your skin should be feeling good and looking healthy.

During the scorching summer ahead we need to keep in mind that skin safety is a primary concern. Too much time in the sun can lead to harmful skin conditions, such as skin cancer which can be avoided with the proper sunscreen. Some artificial sunscreens contain unnecessary chemicals that don't benefit the skin in any way. This is why all natural sunscreen is the obvious choice to provide effective protection from the sun's UV rays. Natural sunscreens contain nourishing essential oils along with the dynamic duo of titanium and zinc oxide. These ingredients work together to fight against UV rays by absorbing and reflecting them off of your skin. All natural sunscreen is the way to go to ensure healthy skin. Here at Debra Rose Beauty Essentials we have two amazing all natural sunscreens, Badger and Kiss My Face, which provide any user with all of the perks of an all natural sunscreen.
